Memphis (STL) 6- Gwinnett (ATL) 5

The Redbirds seemingly had control of the game, but the Stripers made it close and took the lead in the 6th, thanks to a Luke Williams single. Memphis would pull back ahead thanks to scoring runs in the 8th and 9th.

MEM Key Factors:

  • César Prieto went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and a HR.
  • Colton Leadbetter went 2-4 with 2 runs and a walk.
  • Scott Blewett earned the save for his inning of work, where he gave up a hit but earned his first save of the early season.

GWN Key Factors:

  • All mean in the starting line-up earned a hit except for José Azocar.
  • Hunter Stratton had a tough day, giving up 3 hits, 2 runs, and earning both a blown save and the loss.
  • Hayden Harris pitched one inning and struck out two, but did allow one of his two inherited runners to score.

Durham (TBR) 3- Charlotte (CWS) 4

With the Game tied 3-3 in the 9th, lefty Joe Rock came to quiet the Knights down. Rock hit a batter, loaded the bases, and walked the game-winning run in with a 3-2 pitch, which was a ball.

DUR Key Factors:

  • Joe Rock pitched one inning, gave up a run, struck out one, but walked three, and earned the loss.
  • Tre Morgan went 1-4 with a homer and 2 RBIs.
  • 4 combined shut out inning by Andrew Wantz and Evan Reifert.

CLT Key Factors:

  • Jacob Gonzalez went 2-3 with 2 RBIs and a homer.
  • Adisyn Coffey pitched a shutout inning in relief and struck out two.
  • Wikelman González pitched an inning of relief and struck out one while earning the win.

Omaha (KCR) 4- Louisville (CIN) 10

The Bats took an early 6-run lead after the first, and they never let go. Louisville only needed to use three pitchers to shut down the Storm Chasers’ offense.

OMA Key Factors:

  • Josh Rojas went 2-3 with 3 RBIs and a homer.
  • Aaron Sanchez went 3 innings and gave up 7 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks.
  • Helcris Olivárez went 2 innings and gave up 2 runs on 1 hit and 3 walks.

LOU Key Factors:

  • Blake Dunn went 2-4 with an RBI, a walk, and 2 SBs.
  • Rece Hinds went 2-2 with an RBI and 2 walks.
