The San Francisco Giants have had an up-and-down 2026 season, sitting at 35-49 and second-to-last in the National League West. Even with that said, San Francisco has some players who deserve a shot at the All-Star Game. Luis Arraez, Casey Schmitt, and Jung Hoo Lee have emerged as the offensive backbone of the lineup. Each has built a compelling All-Star résumé through a different style of play, giving the Giants multiple legitimate candidates to represent the organization at the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.
Luis Arraez
Few hitters in baseball put the ball in play as consistently as Luis Arraez. The veteran infielder has once again established himself among the National League’s batting leaders, entering the final stretch before the All-Star break with a team-leading batting average above .320.
Arraez’s value extends beyond his average. He consistently works quality at-bats, rarely strikes out, and keeps innings alive by spraying line drives across the field. His elite bat-to-ball skills have made him the catalyst atop San Francisco’s lineup.
After winning three consecutive batting titles earlier in his career, Arraez has shown that his offensive approach remains among the most reliable in baseball. His steady production has helped stabilize a Giants offense that has dealt with injuries and inconsistent run production throughout the season.
Casey Schmitt
Schmitt has been a big surprise for the Giants this season. He was known for his defense, but so far this season, Schmitt’s offense has stepped up big time. Schmitt has already reached 16 home runs before the All-Star break and is on pace for more than 30 home runs this season. He has also provided timely hitting in clutch situations while playing first base, third base, second base, shortstop, and even contributing in left field when needed.
Jung Hoo Lee
Lee has finally stepped up and played to his potential. Lee started the season slowly, but has picked it up over the last month or so and is batting .322. During one of his hot streaks, Lee had 32 hits over 64 at-bats. Lee’s combination of contact hitting, gap power, and defensive value has made him one of San Francisco’s most complete players. He has consistently produced against both right-handed and left-handed pitching while adding speed on the bases and strong defense in the outfield. His ability to impact games in multiple ways makes him a legitimate All-Star candidate despite the crowded National League outfield.
With the Giants’ record, it will be tough to have multiple All-Stars, but the three players named in this article are very well deserving. It will be interesting to see what happens.
